Faithless Electors: What Happens to Your Vote?

GW Paralegal Brief Webinar Series

Did you know that when you vote for president, you don’t really vote for president? You actually vote for a slate of electors who agree to cast their votes for whoever wins the popular vote in your state. But what happens if those electors don’t vote as they agree to? What if they go rogue and vote for someone else?

This fascinating (and kind of terrifying) webinar will answer these questions and explore the history, processes, and current state of the law surrounding the misunderstood and often maligned Electoral College.

Presented by Toni Marsh, Director of the George Washington University's Paralegal Studies Master's and Graduate Certificate Programs.
