Paralegal Alumni Association & Paralegal Student Association Commencement Reception
Alumni and Students Celebrate On campus and Online Graduates
Members of the Paralegal Alumni Association (PAA) and the Paralegal Students Association (PSA) convened for the first time on Friday, May 17, 2013 to celebrate the upcoming graduation for the soon-to-be graduates of the GW College of Professional Studies (CPS) Paralegal Studies program. The two hour event took place in downtown Washington, DC at GW’s Alumni House.
For the first time for many, on-campus students and alumni got to meet, in person, their online colleagues who flew in from various states across the country including Texas, Florida and California (to name a few). It was also the first time for many online students to meet their fellow classmates in person.
Christine Villarreal (President, PSA), Meredith Bruce (Events Chair, PAA), Mehvish Khan (Chair, PAA) and Eric Gutierrez (GW Office of Alumni Relations) organized and orchestrated the reception.
CPS Dean Ali Eskandarian, Associate Dean and program director Toni Marsh, Christine Villarreal and Mehvish Khan all provided remarks and congratulated the on campus and online students for their hard work and dedication and encouraged them to stay connected with one another as the alumni network continues to grow and assume a more national profile both in presence and in reputation.
