Louis Thomas researches equity, the all-age city, and family-oriented high-density. Much of his work examines how parents and other urban actors—policymakers, developers, and non-profits—view central neighborhoods as spaces for childrearing. He argues that framing density and equitable diversity as ideal environments for all life stages—including childrearing—is essential for any definition of a just, sustainable and resilient city.
