The Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (CEPL) was founded in 1997 with a mission to develop public leaders who make a positive difference in their organizations and for the people they serve. The Center achieves its mission by weaving together a combination of academic and practitioner resources to provide rigorous executive education training and coaching, grounded in the realities of public sector leadership and management.
A two-day Emerging Leaders Workshop for new managers, or those planning to move into management, is being offered this spring by CEPL. This program, as well as a Certification Program in Enterprise Risk Management for the Public Sector and a Women Lead with Powerful Conversations program are highlights of upcoming CEPL programs.
Emerging Leaders Workshop is best-suited for new managers, or those planning to move into management within the next year. In this 2-day program you will have a chance to observe and reflect on your personal best leadership experience, values, and vision, and then identify developmental goals and strategies to enhance your leadership effectiveness.

Certification Program in Enterprise Risk Management for the Public Sector Program is designed to provide you and your organization with the fundamental concepts, principles, and tools of ERM in the context of organizational change, while also allowing you to apply the coursework to your agency specific challenge.

Women Lead with Powerful Conversations: Communicating for Breakthrough Results is an interactive 3-day workshop that provides women leaders with a set of tools and best practices to foster workplace engagement, improve performance, and create a positive organizational culture.
