James Miller, a George Washington University graduate student pursing a M.P.S. in Homeland Security (center), receives his scholarship at the 2023 NMIF Night of Heroes Intelligence Awards Banquet.

James Miller, a standout scholar, was recently honored as the recipient of the 2023 National Military Intelligence Foundation Merit (NMIF) Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship recognizes his exceptional academic achievements and commitment to excellence.

Mr. Miller was officially presented with the highly competitive scholarship at the 2023 NMIF Night of Heroes Intelligence Awards Banquet. Student scholarship recipients are officially congratulated at NMIF’s annual banquet.

Additionally, the Foundation extends its congratulations to intelligence and defense professionals who were awarded service awards from their respective agencies and service components, creating a dynamic atmosphere that recognizes excellence across multiple domains.

Mr. Miller is a graduate student at George Washington University pursuing an M.P.S. in Homeland Security. He has a bachelor's in international security from George Mason University and multiple security certifications. James has over 20 years of experience in the security industry and intelligence community experience as a Marine, a Special Agent for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and a Senior Security Manager for Amazon. Currently, James is the Assistant Director for Security with Arlington Public Schools, and in his role, he leads the safety, security, and emergency management programs for the school district.
