Our Roadmap
In the fall of 2022, the College of Professional Studies embarked on a first-ever Strategic Planning Process - Our Roadmap. This process engaged faculty, staff, students, and various community members in multiple ways, from surveying individuals to small and large group conversations.
- In the fall of 2023, the college's purpose, vision, mission, value pillars, and goals were adopted and implemented. Gathering input and suggestions from our various stakeholders and applying that feedback to the finalized language was vital in shaping each critical area's language and meaning.
- Throughout the fall 2023 semester, the CPS Dean's Office will work hand in hand with program directors and operational leads to establish and finalize activities specific to their respective areas, which will, in turn, move the needle forward and contribute to the college reaching each established goal area.

This overarching call to action reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on society, empowering individuals, and advancing the frontiers of knowledge.

At CPS, we have set a bold mission for ourselves: to be the interdisciplinary college of choice for lifelong learners and employment decision makers. This mission emphasizes our dedication to providing education that transcends traditional boundaries, enabling students to develop the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their careers and contribute to the betterment of society.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide an agile, responsive, and innovative educational experience for a diverse community of learners. We aim to be at the forefront of educational innovation, ensuring that our programs remain relevant and effective in meeting the evolving needs of our students and the job market. We believe that an agile approach will empower lifelong upskilling and reskilling, enabling individuals to adapt to the changing demands of the modern workforce.
