Interim Dean Chris Deering

Greetings from the George Washington University’s College of Professional Studies.

If you are reading this, chances are that you looking for a fresh start, a career change or a key opportunity to move up the ladder. I am proud to say that you have come to the right place.

The College of Professional Studies is specifically designed for adult learners and working professionals like you. We offer more than 20 graduate and several bachelor’s completion programs in both a variety of formats and locations to ensure that you can achieve your goals in the most dynamic, flexible and convenient way possible.

Regardless of where you may be conducting your studies—whether from our Washington, D.C. or Virginia locations or taking courses online—you will be able to take full advantage of real-world lessons from some of the most influential figures in both the public and private sectors. By learning directly from them, you will gain an uncommon understanding into strategies and decision-making skills of our best leaders—and then be able to immediately apply them to your own career.

In addition to the skills you will gain from our incomparable faculty, you will also tap into a vast network of accomplished peers. Your faculty and classmates are people who will not only exchange ideas and provide new perspectives with you, but also often open new doors for future opportunities. At the College, it happens all the time.

While rooted in academic rigor and practical excellence, our core emphasis is on forming the next generation of leaders. Of course, we are working with you to earn the credential that will help you get ahead. But more importantly, at the College of Professional Studies you will also learn how to bring everyone else along as you lead the way in solving the great challenges of our collective future.

Sincerely,

Christopher J. Deering
