Jon Gannon is an Assistant Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel at AT&T, where he counsels the company’s network security and policy groups on a wide range of cybersecurity legal and policy issues.

Prior to joining AT&T, he worked in the National Security Division at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), where he practiced before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and supported a variety of counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber investigations.  Jon received numerous awards during his tenure at DOJ, including the Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Furthering the Interests of U.S. National Security.

Before joining DOJ, Jon was an associate at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP in Washington, D.C.  Jon is an adjunct professor at George Washington University and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University and his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
