Dear Members of the CPS Community,
I am writing to express my profound shock and sorrow in the aftermath of the recent incident that has deeply shaken our campus. It saddens me to witness any event that compromises the safety and sense of belonging for our students. It is of utmost importance, especially in these trying times, that every individual within our community feels secure and embraced by our university.
President Granberg has rightly emphasized that the actions of a few individuals, even if they are GW students, should never be misconstrued as representing the voice of the George Washington University. We stand united against any violation of our university policies, and it is our collective responsibility to foster an environment where every student can thrive without fear.
It is crucial to remember that our university provides resources specifically designed to support every member of the GW community. Whether you are in need of guidance, counseling, or simply a listening ear, the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement, Student Affairs, Human Resources, and Faculty Affairs are readily available to assist you.
The core values of the College of Professional Studies include community, access and inclusivity, and respect. Let us stand together and uphold the values that define us.
