Jane Hyatt Thorpe, JD, program director of the Healthcare Corporate Compliance Program (HCC), has been named senior associate dean for academic, student and faculty affairs in GW’s Milken Institute School of Public Health (Milken Institute SPH). In her new role, Thorpe will oversee the school’s educational mission, and provide leadership and support to all faculty and students.
Thorpe, an expert in healthcare law and policy, is director of HCC, a partnership between CPS and Milken Institute SPH. Students completing the 12-credit graduate certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance are eligible to transfer credits, if admitted, into the master’s degrees in Public Health or Health Administration.
Thorpe previously served as interim chair of the Milken Institute SPH’s Department of Health Policy and Management, where she was also vice chair for academic affairs.
Milken Institute SPH, the only school of public health in the nation’s capital, has over 450 faculty members and more than 2,400 students from 53 countries.
