For a second straight year, IIST students and alumni visited Deloitte’s Center for Federal Innovation in Arlington to learn more about business technology consulting opportunities, including full-time analyst positions and summer internships. The site visit, scheduled November 16, 2014, provided participants an exclusive opportunity to interact with recruiters and technology professionals at one of the world’s largest and most recognized consulting firms.
Students received an introduction to the latest technologies and creative solutions from hybrid clouds and cyber analytics to data visualization and interactive modeling that Deloitte provides to federal clients. Several technology consultants shared their experiences working at firm, including typical client engagements and career growth opportunities. Additionally, Deloitte recruiters explained the firm's recruitment process and shared valuable application advice. Following the presentations, students had a chance to further network with representatives from Deloitte and received a guided tour of the facility.
