Omar Badawi is a U.S. Government Attorney and an international development practitioner. He currently serves as a Senior Attorney at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts where he supports federal judges in matters relating to federal judicial administration. Professor Badawi also serves as staff to the Judicial Conference of the United States' Committee on International Judicial Relations, which works with foreign judiciaries to advance the rule of law and the administration of justice. 

Professor Badawi has worked in foreign posts as Country Director and in Washington, D.C. as Senior Advisor for the American Bar Association on behalf of its Rule of Law Initiative. He has extensive experience designing and implementing development assistance in justice sector reform, anti-corruption, constitutional development and legal education. Earlier in his career, Professor Badawi practiced labor and employment law at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.
