Cody House

Congratulations to Cody House, M.Ed., director of online learning and instructional technology in the College of Professional Studies, for his leadership role serving as the co-chair of the engagement team at the 2022 OLC Accelerate Conference.

The 2022 OLC Accelerate Conference, considered one of the industry’s “largest, most impactful professional development experiences in online, blended, and digital learning,” will take place virtually Nov. 1-3, 2022 and in-person Nov. 14-18, 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

The conference is attended by administrators, designers, and educators sharing research and effective practices on a wide-range of topics, such as: Access, Equity, and Open Education; Blended Learning; Engaged and Effective Teaching and Learning; Instructional Design; Leadership and Institutional Strategies; Research, Evaluation, and Learning Analytics; and Technology and Future Trends.

“My role for the conference is Engagement Co-Chair. In my capacity, I will be overseeing the six or seven teams of volunteers that will help coordinate and implement the engagement strategy for the conference,” said House.

“The engagement team is responsible for all of the virtual and in-person networking and technology/innovation activities that take place.”

House previously served as the Co-Chair for the Technology Test Kitchen at last fall’s conference, which is one of the sub-groups under the broader engagement team he will lead this year.

"Cody House’s expertise designing courses and leading our CPS online learning and instructional design team is top-notch," said Melissa Feuer, interim dean for the College of Professional Studies.

"I’m thrilled he was selected for this conference leadership role."

Additionally, Drew Santorello, a second CPS instructional design team member, will support the implementation of the conference by co-chairing this year’s Technology Test Kitchen. Additional members of the team will be participating in the conference and may be serving in volunteer stewardship roles as conference planning continues.
