Dr. Ann Carroll is a full-time employee with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization where she has worked since 2002. Ann also has recently been appointed as adjunct faculty with the Sustainable Urban Planning program in the College of Professional Studies with George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
With a science and environmental public health educational background, Ann focuses on ways that planning and built environment changes can improve health and the quality of life. Ann has a science and public health background and has worked on lead poisoning prevention, risk reduction and risk communication, underground storage tank and contaminated site cleanup and children’s health with the U.S. EPA and internationally with support on lead poisoning prevention activities in the State of New South Wales in Australia and leaded gasoline phaseout activities in India and Indonesia.
