The college is proud to announce Angela McMillen Ayres, as its Interim Executive Director of The Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM). She brings over two decades of leadership as a nonprofit executive, fundraising consultant, and former CEO of Tusk Fundraising in Washington, DC, where she advised nonprofits and Republican political campaigns on fundraising and development.
As Executive Director of the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), she spearheaded record-breaking growth in membership and sponsorship revenue while mentoring interns from GSPM and other universities. With extensive experience in political strategy, including her role as Executive Director of the Summit County, Ohio, Republican Party, she has managed major donor campaigns and award-winning initiatives. McMillen Ayres holds a Master’s in Applied Politics from the Bliss Institute and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Youngstown State University, blending her expertise in finance, fundraising, and political leadership.

GSPM is in the process of hiring a new, permanent Executive Director. Proposals have been received by several search firms and informal interviews are being held with stakeholders including staff, faculty, students, board members, past Executive Directors and others in this position at other institutions.
