With the fall semester underway, the GW community is demonstrating every day that it matters less where we are and more how we are coming together—supporting one another, remaining connected, and fulfilling our mission.
The University has created a website dedicated to information about our COVID response. It is a central location to find announcements, resources and FAQs.
There is also a COVID-19 hotline – 855-GWU-INFO – which is open and ready to answer any questions you may have regarding the university’s preparedness for COVID-19.
FAQs specific to the College of Professional Studies:
- Will CPS programs be fully online this fall?
-
Yes. After consulting with the university, and keeping safety first and foremost in our minds in these challenging times, we have determined that all CPS courses will be conducted online this fall. For many of you, this decision is in keeping with the plans you received from your program weeks ago. For others, this is a change from what we had hoped to offer. Please know that for all programs, we have been preparing since March to bring our courses online in the event we needed to make this shift. We are, as always, committed to providing you with a challenging, engaging, and rewarding semester.
- What tuition will I be paying this year?
-
For Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, your tuition will be billed at the Academic Year 2019-2020 rates. The corrected tuition amount will be reflected in your bill. The 2020-2021 updated rates are now posted on the Student Accounts website.
- What about the Academic Calendar?
-
CPS programs often follow a different schedule than the University as a whole. Your program will follow the same schedule that your program director has previously provided.
- What kind of Campus Access is being allowed?
-
Beginning Friday, August 28th at 5:00 p.m., access to all of GW’s campuses will be limited to ONLY those who have special permission to be on campus.
Testing will be required for designated employees and limited students with permission to be on campus.
