The College of Professional Studies (CPS) has partnered with the Washington Business Journal to host a Cybersecurity for the Future series of three events. The first event, held September 20, focused on the Cybersecurity supply chain.

"The events will focus on CPS being the premier Cybersecurity solution for learners and industry. It's a testament to our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation and addressing real-world challenges," says Dean Liesl Riddle.

These exclusive gatherings will discuss the pressing issue of cybersecurity and its impact on organizations. Alex Orfinger, publisher of the Washington Business Journal says: “Working with CPS has expanded my eyes to the challenges of cybersecurity for businesses of all sizes. The issues are complex and intertwined and business leaders need to understand the evolving threats.  I commend CPS for taking the lead in getting information about this vital topic out to the broader community.”

This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing students with practical training while partnering with enterprise businesses for real-world exposure to cybersecurity challenges.

"Through the partnership between Washington Business Journal and CPS in the Cybersecurity for the Future Series, we are fostering a powerful community where leaders and influential figures from diverse industries come together, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and collaboration," commented Dean Riddle.

Our next event, a conversation on Workforce Development in Cyber, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct 10, 2023.
